No. Chiropractors are primary care practitioners — you can book directly without a referral from your GP.
You may or may not need x-rays depending on your age, condition, family history, and examination findings. X-rays are only recommended if Dr De Fazio believes they'll assist your care. They're performed off-site and are bulk-billed through Medicare.
Absolutely. Chiropractic care can be highly effective for supporting the pelvis and lower back during and after pregnancy, relieving low back, pelvic, and leg pain associated with pregnancy.
Dr De Fazio will take a detailed history, then perform a physical examination including neurological, orthopaedic, and chiropractic tests. Treatment commences following your examination in the same appointment.
Yes, provided you have 'extras' cover. We process rebates on the spot via HICAPS. Chiropractic is not covered by Medicare directly, however under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) scheme with a GP referral, you may be eligible for 5 free visits.
